Nonprofits, it's Time to Restore

Time to Play isn’t just a night of fun and connection — it’s also a space for meaningful networking, collaboration, and community building. We’ve added networking events for nonprofits, businesses, and community partners who believe in the power of purpose-driven work. With more than 8,000 nonprofits in the New Orleans metro area, it is impossible to know them all, but we can do our part to connect with as many as possible and create more opportunities for partnership, support, and shared impact.

Time to Play organizations with Bootstrap Economics games.

In January, we introduced attendees to Bootstrap Economics, a powerful game that gave entrepreneurs and nonprofit staff a hands-on way to explore the ins and outs of business. Not only was it a great icebreaker, but everyone walked away with a deeper understanding and greater appreciation of the joys and struggles of business ownership. Several people also walked away with great door prizes.

This month, we are continuing that same spirit of learning by offering a training on preventing burnout and compassion fatigue, because so many leaders, staff members, and volunteers are carrying heavy responsibilities while still showing up for others. Reserve your spot and be in the room where connection, learning, and impact come together. Monday, April 27, from 7-9 at the Contemporary Arts Center, 3rd FL. RSVP required.

Burnout can show up in many ways, including constant exhaustion, irritability, lack of motivation, feeling overwhelmed by simple tasks, or losing joy in work that once felt meaningful. When these signs go unnoticed, they can affect morale, productivity, and the overall health of a team. That is why supporting staff and volunteers is so important. When people feel cared for, equipped, and valued, they are better able to stay engaged, stay healthy, and continue making a lasting impact.

This event is also an opportunity to connect with mission-driven businesses and nonprofits, explore partnership and sponsorship opportunities, and learn how your organization can grow through visibility and collaboration.
